Connect Alpaca

Start with paper (demo) mode to practice risk-free with real market data. Switch to live when you're ready.

Paper mode: no real money

Paper mode connects to Alpaca's official demo environment. You get virtual funds and real market prices. No real money is involved. It's the best way to learn the agent before going live.

Alpaca offers a free paper trading account with $100,000 virtual funds. Paper keys and live keys are completely separate. No funding or account approval is needed to start.

    Log in or sign up at Alpaca

    Go to app.alpaca.markets. A free paper-only account requires no funding.

    Open the Paper Trading dashboard

    Navigate to app.alpaca.markets/paper/dashboard/overview.

    Generate paper API keys

    In the Paper Trading dashboard, find the API Keys section and click "Generate New Key". Copy the API Key ID and Secret Key. The secret is shown only once.

    Paste into Alle-Quant

    In Alle-Quant, open the exchange panel, select Alpaca, choose the Paper tab. Paste your API Key ID and Secret Key. Click Connect.
