Connect Bybit

Start with paper (demo) mode to practice risk-free with real market data. Switch to live when you're ready.

Paper mode: no real money

Paper mode connects to Bybit's official demo environment. You get virtual funds and real market prices. No real money is involved. It's the best way to learn the agent before going live.

Bybit Demo Trading is a separate account with its own user ID and virtual funds, no real money. You must switch into Demo Trading first and create the key there. A key made on your normal account will not work for paper. API keys can only be created on the Bybit website, not the mobile app. New Bybit accounts have a 48-hour wait before API keys can be created.

    Switch to Demo Trading

    On desktop, log in to bybit.com, click your account avatar (top-right), and select Demo Trading. A 'Demo Trading' badge appears at the top. Keep it visible for the next steps.

    Open API Management inside the demo account

    While in Demo Trading, open API Management (avatar, then API) and click Create New Key.

    Choose System-generated API Keys (HMAC)

    Pick System-generated API Keys. Do not choose Self-generated (RSA); Alle-Quant needs the key and secret HMAC format. Label it "Alle-Quant Paper".

    Set permissions

    Enable Trade under SPOT and Unified Trading (Read is included).

    IP restriction is optional for paper; the key works without it. To stop it expiring after 3 months, add the Alle-Quant server IP shown above.

    Copy your API Key and Secret

    Complete 2FA. The secret is shown only once. Copy both values right away.

    Paste them into Alle-Quant

    In Alle-Quant, open the exchange panel, select Bybit, choose the Paper tab, and paste your keys. Click Connect.
